Clay Simmons - Youth Minister
I have been the Youth Minister at Midway since July, 2009. My wife, Leah, and I have been happily married since February 16th, 2002. We have one son, Caleb, who was born in August, 2006, and we have one more on the way, due in September, 2011. I was raised in Southern Baptist churches, but I never made Jesus my Lord and Savior until October, 2002 when I read through the New Testament. God's Word convicted me of my sins and I asked Jesus to save me from my sins and made Him the Lord of my life. Hearing the call to go into full-time ministry, Leah and I resigned from our jobs, sold our house in Alabama, and moved to Wake Forest, NC to attend The College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I graduated in May, 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Biblical Studies and History. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, history, and watching Miami Hurricanes baseball and football, and spending time with the youth at our church.
